THE DIRECTOR GENERAL OF CUSTOMS AND EXCISE,

Considering:

that to speed up improvement in the smooth running of the flow of goods and documents in the framework of export, it is deemed necessary to improve Decision of the Director General of Customs and Excise No. Kep-75/BC/1996.

In view of:

• a. Law No. 10/1995 on customs affairs (Statute Book No. 75/1995);
• b. Decree of the Minister of Finance No. 487/KMK.05/1996 on the procedure of customs inspection of exported goods;
• c. Decree of the Minister of Finance No. 488/KMK.05/1996 on the customs management in the export area, as already improved the latest by Decree of the Minister of Finance No. 295/KMK.05/1997;
• d. Decree of the Minister of Finance No. 689/KMK.05/1996 on the procedure for the imposition of customs-related administrative sanctions;
• e. Decree of the Minister of Finance No. 101/KMK.05/1997 on customs declarations;
• f. Decree of the Minister of Finance No. 296/KMK.01/1997 on improvement of the attachment to Decree of the Minister Finance No. 440/KMK.05/1996 on the stipulation of the classification system of goods and the amounts of the tariffs of import duties on imported goods.

DECIDES:

THE DECISION OF THE DIRECTOR GENERAL OF CUSTOMS AND EXCISE ON THE AMENDMENT OF THE DIRECTOR GENERAL OF CUSTOMS AND EXCISE REGULATION NO. KEP-75/BC/1996 DATED NOVEMBER 25, 1996 ON THE PROCEDURE FOR CUSTOMS INSPECTION ON EXPORTED GOODS AS ALREADY AMENDED BY REGULATION OF THE DIRECTOR GENERAL OF CUSTOMS AND EXCISE NO. KEP-44/BC/1997 DATED MAY 1, 1997.

Article 1

To amend the provision in Attachment I point 3 to Decision of the Director General of Customs and Excise No. Kep-75/BC/1996 so that it shall read as follows :

"3.1 To provide the number and the date of book-keeping of the Customs Records Book in all the pages of an export declaration (PEB) and customs complementary documents set as requirements.

3.2 To take note of the number and the date of an export declaration for particular goods (PEBT) in the Customs Records Book."

Article 2

To amend the provision in Attachment III point 1.5.5. to Decision of the Director General of Customs and Excise No. Kep-75/BC/1996 so that it shall read as follows:

"1.5.5. To present PEBT/PEBT along with the correction note and the SPSA to the exporter or his proxy in accordance with their designation for further settlement; under the provision that the PEBT must be replaced with a PEB in the event that the value of the exported commodities/consignment is found to exceed Rp. 300,000,OOO.oo (three hundred million rupiahs)."

Article 3

This decision shall take effect as from August 4, 1997 and if it turns out that there is an error in the future, this decision shall be properly amended.
